Little Explorers, which meets in the Scout hut in Britannia Road in the village, was visited in December 2014, and a glowing report on published this month (January).
Inspector Catherine Sharkey, who awarded the pre-school the best of four possible gradings, said: “This provision is outstanding.”
She said teaching was “very good”, leadership and management were “excellent” and that parents were “fully involved” in their children’s learning.
Children were said to be “very happy and settled” and “extremely safe”.
Staff are described as “kind and caring” and owner Alison Bates is praised for her “superb drive and dedication”.
She said she was “thrilled” with the findings.
